St. Nicholas Church was well represented at the 19th All American Council held in St. Louis July 23 to July 27, 2018.   Fr. Matthew Joyner was the clergy delegate and Nancy Kohudic was the lay delegate.  They were joined by Matushka Ashley and son Liam as well as Subdeacon Frank and Michelle Guydan who were there as observers.   

Fr. Matthew was privileged to serve on the panel of one of the six forums held at the Council, that on Stewardship.  Nancy attended forums on Spirituality and External Relations and the Guydans attended the forum on Care of the Clergy.

While Father and Matushka met up with former Seminary classmates, Nancy made contact with our former rector,  His Grace, Bishop David (Mahaffey) of Sitka and Alaska, and His Grace, Bishop Daniel (Brum) of Santa Rosa. 

The All American Council was a very spiritual, fruitful, uplifting and awesome experience attended by more than 600 Orthodox Christians from  Canada, the United States, and Mexico.
